In the future planned events. I guess it is nice that everyone can commiserate.
I’m tired of seeing the same future as everyone else. I don’t feel hopeful that things will turn around. I don’t think life can ever reach that point again. How do we claw back the pollution and chaos? How do we heal old wounds that constantly resurface? I always worried my physical scars would reopen at a scratch.
How do I want to be pregnant? To bring life into this world where nothing seems joyful seems cruel. I hate social media. I hate the pressure and stress to be “perfect.”
I know I’m supposed to roll with the times. These times seem, to me, to be arbitrary, fleeting, hurtful.
I don’t feel like the future will be better. I wonder how many other people feel the same way.
I reblogged this last month, tagged it, and said “might as well see if it works.” I used this video as a reference to find all the forms that i needed (which is A LOT, especially if you’re a dependent) and sent them through the mail, not really allowing myself to hope.

It’s important to note that all of the legislators making these points are women and/or people of color, and therefore would have been some of the primary people to be targeted and focused on by the insurrectionists and I think that needs to be emphasized.
